Currently, the number of raft houses is gradually decreasing due to several factors, including inconvenience and the impact of the river’s condition on the raft dwellers, such as polluted water from waste disposal. Preservation efforts include avoiding dumping waste into the river. Another way to conserve this lifestyle is by educating the younger generation about the significance of raft houses, encouraging them to continue preserving this tradition.
ปัจจุบันบ้านเรือนแพค่อยๆลดลงไปทีละน้อยซึ่งสาเหตุก็มาจากหลายปัจจัย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ความไม่สะดวก ผลกระทบของแม่น้ำที่ส่งผลต่อชาวแพ เช่น น้ำในแม่น้ำเน่าเสีย จากการทิ้งขยะ วิธีการอนุรักษ์คือ ไม่ทิ้งขยะลงแม่น้ำ และอีกทางหนึ่งที่จะอนุรักษ์ได้คือ การให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับบ้านเรือนแพให้กับคนรุ่นหลังได้รู้และอนุรักษ์สิ่งนี้ต่อๆกันไป
